April

April was military child appreciation month. These two kids are my little heroes. Their daddy had a calling to serve his country, which unfortunately leaves him missing important milestones in my kids lives. Many nights are filled with tears, but my kids know daddy is off "getting the bad guys". my kids have learned to celebrate holidays early or over FaceTime. They have learned to live out of suitcases and in one bedroom apartments. Three moves, 2 (almost 3) deployments , making new friends around the world and blooming where they are planted. All military kids are heroes, but I'm fortunate to call these two mine.

Lily

The lilies are starting to bloom on island. There is a small island only a few miles away that you access by a ferry called ie island. Every year there is a lily festival. It's happening now. I am hoping Ian and I can go when he gets back! I'll post pictures of me make it out!

new year Taipei

Tourists.

Today We played tourists. Not the best day outside with dark clouds looming, but the rain held off and we were able to enjoy being outside. I think the rainy season is coming. We went to a park that had old Okinawan houses, traditional music and food. Ben and David got their picture taken by tons of tourists and made friends everywhere they went. We also dressed up in traditional Okinawan attire. I love the bright colors of the female Komono here.

Aft wards we went to cape Zanpa and saw a lighthouse with cliffs. There is so much beauty on this island and so much more we need to go see and explore
